About Us
David Welch,
founder and owner, has held a Block and Associates Mechanical
Masters License since 1989, he also holds a Class B Contractors
license. Our people are constantly training to be the best. They
have the tools, equipment and training to ensure the best possible
job. Our technicians are trained professionals who care about our
customers and our office staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We are
professionals, we make house calls 24 hours per day and we provide
safety and comfort for your homes. Codes, rules and laws are only
our minimum standards. We work in an ever changing industry and our
people are always ready to serve your needs.
We operate from
a flat rate pricing book, we feel that this gives the customers what
they want, a firm price for both replacement and service. This
allows us to give our customers consistent fair prices. Flat rate
pricing means quoting a fair price for both time and material, with
no breakdown of charges. Both time and material are billed, but
together as a “repair” charge. The customer wins because regardless
of the time billed or the parts used, the customer’s price doesn’t
change.
What our
customers really want. The most important factors when
purchasing a comfort system are; energy costs 46.4%, comfort 37.1%
and price 16.5%. Operating costs tops the list of factors people
consider when choosing an HVAC system, not surprising, given the
effort put into educating consumers about energy efficiency. In
addition, 50 % of homeowners want consistently comfortable rooms
throughout the house in winter and/or summer. If building a new
home, the most desirable features of a comfort system are; air
conditioning 72.4%, winter humidification 72.3%, individual
temperature control 60.6%, air purification 54.8% and
dehumidification 40.0%. Most people also want more features than
they currently have. Air conditioning, winter humidification, air
purification and control of temperature in individual rooms were
features respondents wanted but found lacking in their present
systems.
Customized comfort doesn’t cost you money,
it saves you money. There is much industry hype today about
selling high efficient heating and cooling equipment. Top quality,
high efficiency equipment will cost more initially, but it will save
you money on utility bills and service calls for years to come.
While the market is changing and consumers have more interest in
saving energy, there still remains a need for consumer education and
information about replacing their old HVAC system properly. There is
more to providing an energy efficient comfort system than just HVAC
equipment, we need to also focus on the other components of the
system. Attention needs to be given to other integrated components
including a tight duct system, programmable thermostats and
accessories, plus quality installation and maintenance. There is
more to buying a heat pump or air conditioner than ratings. The
quality of construction and materials used as well as the
reliability of the manufacturer and installing contractor can all
affect your long-term satisfaction and comfort. Be sure to weigh all
the factors before choosing your new system.
